Tami, Tina and Andrea continue their travels seeking, and finding, deceased children who have been tortured through human experiments—and need to cross over. What they were not entirely expecting to encounter were other individuals and their profound control. Fewer children would speak of their human abductors, but instead speak of others—ones who could potentially do even more harm. Along the journey, these three women also encounter beautiful beings of compassion and love who offer a light guiding them to the unseen. Through that, the power within is palpable and abundant.
EXCERPT:
Locked Out
As Andrea was on her phone, we made our
way back downstairs to where we walked through the lower apartment that led out
to the back. Margie did not provide a different key for this door, but it did
have an interior bolt lock.
Well, this isn’t creepy or anything. Out in the middle of nowhere
with who knows what wildlife, ghosts or extraterrestrials lurking around.
“Margie is over an hour away and is not
returning tonight. She said since there’s no other key, she’ll have to figure
out how to get us inside in the morning,” Andrea said.
So, when she said, ‘There’s only one key’, she really meant
there’s only one key. And how is there only one key?!
“Sigh…I guess we hunker down in the
lower part of the house for tonight,” I said.
Going into the studio apartment sized-room
and locking the door behind us, Andrea looked at the bed she’d sleep on. It was
a thin mattress on top of a platform that was a built-in half wall.
“That looks less than cozy,” I said
feeling annoyed.
Turning to look at the double-sized bed
I’d share with Tina, I noticed how low the angled ceiling was. I made a mental
note to be careful sitting up in the morning.
As we tried to settle and get as
comfortable as possible in our uncomfortable accommodations, we chatted a few
minutes before falling asleep.
Around 3 am, I slowly woke up.
It feels creepy.
I heard something or someone rustling
outside the door.
I quickly turned my head to look at the
door to our right.
What’s that?!
Then I heard a light knocking on the
door.
Fingers tight on the bed covers, eyes
wide and searching into the darkness throughout the room, I looked over and saw
Tina was asleep. Through the darkness, I couldn’t tell if Andrea was asleep,
but I didn’t see any movement.
I’m not opening that. Out in the middle of nowhere. It can’t
be Margie.
Knock, knock.
Nope. Not opening the door.
Knock.
Knock.
Wait…that’s not coming from the door anymore, that’s on the
wall on the inside near Andrea!
Knock.
I pulled the covers up to my chin and
tried my best to ignore it, willing it to go away.
