Are you on any medication? Would you like to know what you take?
Edema/Diuretics
Swelling in the ankles, feet, and legs is often caused by a
build-up of fluid in these areas called edema.
Diuretics are medicines that help reduce fluid buildup in
the body because of heart failure or other medical problems.
Diuretics are sometimes called water pills.
Most diuretics help the kidneys remove salt and water
through the urine.
As a result, blood pressure goes down.
