Ash watched Mali’s reunion with her brother, emotion choking his
throat. He’d been angry with her

been in love with her for a long time, which made him a complete bastard. Love. The word felt foreign to him even

Mali hugged her twin close for a long moment before stepping
back.
She pinned Ash with a heated stare and walked slowly toward
him. His heart pounded and threads of his spirit leapt into the space between
them, intertwining whether they wanted it or not.
