Book Tour & Giveaway ~ Adventures of Little Lady Jane by Breanna Hayse

Daddy's
Little Lady
Adventures
of Little Lady Jane Book 1
by
Breanna Hayse

Genre:
Historical Romance

FROM
#1 MULTI-GENRE BEST SELLING AUTHOR BREANNA HAYSE:

“This
Victorian Age-Play is a unique tale of love, pain, discipline, and
trust that extends across the globe. From the hard, gray lines of
Victorian England to the colorful magic and mystery of India, this
story unfolds with the opening of the ancient Indian book of sex –
the Kama Sutra. The book contains sensual/disciplinary spankings and
explicit sex scenes. If such material offends you, please do not buy
this book. If it does not, then sit back with a cup of tea and enjoy
a Victorian romance like no other.”

To
love and be loved is to feel the sun from both sides. – David
Viscot

Jane
Foster, the ward and fiancée of Marquis Philip de Courtier, never
knew how the forbidden book stolen from Philip’s library would
change both of their lives. For hours, she would sit on the garden
swing and secretly study the pictures illustrating the ancient text.
She longed to be like the beautiful, sensual women who twisted their
bodies into works of art; and to be anything other than Philip’s
Little girl who needed guidance, rules, and discipline demanded by
high society.
It
was easy for Jane to call him ‘Papa’. She had teasingly done so
for years; but as an adult, she discovered that the term came with a
price- bare bottom spankings for breaking his rules. And Jane made
certain to break plenty! Her rebellion grew every time he left her
alone in the cold, dark manor. Rebellion that turned to
resentment.
But,
neither knew that the words in the Kama Sutra had taken root in their
hearts- Philip through the teachings of his friend, the Raja; and
Jane, through the stolen moments with her book. Upon his return from
his latest trip to India, Jane found the confidence to express her
needs. The cries of her heart were heard and, on that fateful night,
Philip’s Little Janie was (temporarily) transformed into his Lady
Jane.
But
Jane had a secret. One she was afraid would repel Philip and make him
change his mind about making her his wife. She found new friends
within the Palace walls of the Raja and his family, and they helped
her accept her secret with pride. She learned quickly that as much as
Little Janie was loved by ‘Papa’, Lady Jane was the center of his
heart and the desire of his body. She also discovered that as painful
as his loving discipline was, the sexual satisfaction was even
greater. Like the positions on the Kama Sutra, nothing was left for
the imagination.
The
fictional story of Little Lady Jane encompasses the essence of the
Kama Sutra in a real life scenario, and shows how possible true
transformation (in the heart, mind, spirit and body) can be achieved,
even the stringent society of Victorian England. The sensuality and
sexuality of India replaces the rigid rules and uncompromising
dictates of Victorian society, and a story of passion, pain,
adventure, and sexual awakening blooms from the depths, like the
lotus flower arises out of the darkness of a muddy pond.

From
the #1 Multi-Genre Best Selling Author Breanna Hayse:

“This
sweet Victorian age-play contains sensual/disciplinary spankings, the
consensual exploration into BDSM, and explicit sexual descriptions
and even some anal play! If any of this material offends you, please
do not read this book. If it does not, then be prepared for an
adventure into India during the Victorian era and enjoy the magic and
mystery of the Kama Sutra."

Jane’s
unique tale of love, pain, lust, discipline, and trust continues in
‘Daddy's Little Courtesan’, part two of the ‘Adventures of Lady
Jane’ series by best-selling author Breanna Hayse.

The
vibrant colors, exotic lifestyle and tantalizing sexuality of India
have combined to make Marquis Philip de Courtier and his Lady Jane to
decide to remain; with the Raja and his wives until their cottage has
been completed. This gives Philip the perfect opportunity to expand
his exporting business, while his Little Lady Jane continues to learn
the ways of the Kama Sutra through her education with Usha, the first
and strictest of the Raj’s rampantly sexual wives, and then going
on to practice all she’s learned on her handsome fiancĂ©.

Jane
blossoms in her discovery of sexual and sensual freedom, but she
still struggles to curb her recalcitrant streak-one which frequently
lands her in hot water with Philip, Usha, and even the Raja, who does
not hesitate to show her how strictly (and unusually) he deals with
disobedience with his own ladies.

Follow
Jane as her relationship with Philip continues to grow in this, a
tale of exotic beauty, Victorian age-play, scorching, explicit
lovemaking and, of course, creative and rigorous discipline.

Who
am I?
I'm
a native Californian gone 'wild', and had the opportunity to travel
the globe and discover the world through the eyes of both a Marine
Intelligence specialist and a BDSM lifestyler. I left the service to
go into hospice nursing and grief counseling, eventually working as a
marriage and family therapist for those involved in alternative
lifestyle development. This experience has allowed me to gain unique
inspiration for my books and offer realistic plots and relatable
characters.

In
2004, my husband, John, and I joined forces to work with both
submissives and dominants- teaching, training, listening and loving.
Our goal was to take the mystery and fear out of the lifestyle and
mentor people in safe, consensual and healthy relationships.

My
first book, The Game Plan, was published in 2012 and opened the door
to the now-booming world of Age-Play literature. Since that time,
I've devoted my 'spare' time to writing, researching, community
involvement, and private and group pro bono counseling in deviant
behavior, alternative lifestyle, and addiction recovery.

I
was formally 'dungeon trained' as a Domme before discovering my
submissive side when I joined the service. My scenarios are pulled
primarily from either personal experience or observation, including
spending time in BDSM clubs as the safety/medical officer. My
multi-faceted background allows me to glean from many avenues and
give a unique and intelligent literary experience through elements of
fantasy and fiction. I also discuss the questions and psychology of
the lifestyle in a manner that is fun and informative, and based on
'the real deal.'

I
live with my husband, musician, and fellow-author, John Hayse, and
two border collies in southern California. We practice a 24/7 D&S
relationship with speckles of AP (and many trips to Build-A-Bear),
and happily spend every moment together that we can. My hobbies
include my puppies, hiding my vanilla salt-water taffy where John
can't find it, exotic art, collecting inspirational trinkets, and
developing my own paddle line. You can also see me as a featured

Book Tour & Review ~ Highland Crown by May McGoldrick

ABOUT HIGHLAND CROWN:
Scottish pride, persuasion, and passion—this is Highland romance at its breathtaking best.

Inverness, 1820
Perched on the North Sea, this port town—by turns legendary and mythological—is a place where Highland rebels and English authorities clash in a mortal struggle for survival and dominance. Among the fray is a lovely young widow who possesses rare and special gifts.

WANTED: Isabella Drummond
A true beauty and trained physician, Isabella has inspired longing and mystery—and fury—in a great many men. Hunted by both the British government and Scottish rebels, she came to the Highlands in search of survival. But a dying ship’s captain will steer her fate into even stormier waters. . .and her heart into flames.

FOUND: Cinaed Mackintosh
Cast from his home as a child, Cinaed is a fierce soul whose allegiance is only to himself … until Isabella saved his life—and added more risk to her own. Now, the only way Cinaed can keep her safe to seek refuge at Dalmigavie Castle, the Mackintosh family seat. But when the scandalous truth of his past comes out, any chance of Cinaed having a bright future with Isabella is thrown into complete darkness. What will these two ill-fated lovers have to sacrifice to be together…for eternity?

Highland Crown
May McGoldrick

Cinaed looked up into a woman’s face. Fine black eye- brows arched over brown eyes that were focused on his chest. Thick dark hair was pulled back in a braid and pinned up at the back of her head. Intent on what she was doing, she was unaware that he was awake.

Her brow was furrowed, and lines of concentration framed the corners of her mouth. The grey travel dress she wore was plain and practical. She was not old, but not young either. Not fat, not thin. From where he lay, he guessed she was neither tall nor short. She was beautiful, but not in the flashy way of the women who generally greeted sailors in the port towns. Nor was she like the eyelash-fluttering lasses in Halifax who never stopped trying to get his attention after a Sunday service. He didn’t bother to assess the pleasant symmetry of her face, however. The “brook no nonsense” expression warned that she wasn’t one to care what others thought of her looks, anyway.

But who was she?

The last clear memory he had was seeing a flash from the shore. The next moment his chest had been punched with what felt like a fiery poker. Everything after that floated in a jumbled haze. He recalled being in the water, trying to swim toward some distant shore. Or was he struggling to reach the longboat again?

Cinaed didn’t know what part of his body hurt more, the fearsome pounding in his head or the burning piece of that poker still lodged in his chest.

“Where am I?” he demanded. “Who the deuce are you?”

Startled, she sat up straight, pulling away and scowl- ing down at him. In one blood-covered hand, she held a needle and thread. In the other, a surgeon’s knife that she now pointed directly at his throat.

“Try to choke me again and I’ll kill you.” “Choke you? For the love of God, woman!”

His ship. The reef. The explosion.  He  closed  his eyes for a moment and tried to clear away the fog. Everything he’d been through struck him like a broad- side.

The Highland Crown was gone. He’d detonated the powder himself. Where were his men? He’d climbed into the last longboat. They’d been fired at from the beach. He’d been shot.

Cinaed grabbed the knife-wielding wrist before she could pull it away. “Where are my men?”

An ancient woman in Highland garb slid into his line of sight behind the younger one. She was making sure he saw the cudgel she had over one shoulder.

“This one is worth less than auld fish bait, mistress,” she taunted. The crone was ready and obviously eager to use that club. “And thankless, too, I’m bound. I was right when I said ye should never have saved him.”

Should never have saved him. He released the wrist, and the hand retreated. But the dark-haired woman didn’t move away. As if nothing had happened, she dropped the knife on the cot, out of his reach. The brown eyes again focused on his chest, and she put her needle back to work.

He winced but kept his hands off the woman.

By all rights, he should be dead. A musket ball had cut him down and knocked him into the water. He should in- deed be finished. Someone on shore had tried to kill him.

But he was alive, and apparently he owed his life to this one. Gratitude flowed through him.

“Want me to give him another knock in the head?” the old witch asked.

“Last stitch. Let me finish,” she said in a voice lacking the heavier burr of the northern accent. “You can kill him when I’m done.”

A sense of humor, Cinaed thought. At least, he hoped she was joking. She tied off the knot, cut the thread, and straightened her back, inspecting her handiwork. He lifted his head to see what kind of quilt pattern she’d made of him. A puckered line of flesh, topped by a row of neat stitches, now adorned the area just below his collarbone. He’d been sewn up by surgeons before, and they’d never done such a fine job of it. He started to sit up to thank her.

That was a grave mistake. For an instant, he thought the old woman had used her cudgel, after all. When he pushed himself up, his brain exploded, and he had no doubt it was now oozing out of his ears and eye sockets. The taste of bilge water bubbled up in his throat.

“A bucket,” he groaned desperately.

The woman was surprisingly strong. She rolled him and held a bucket as his stomach emptied. She’d been ex- pecting this, it appeared. However horrible he was feeling before, it was worse now as the room twisted and rocked and spun. Long stretches of dry heaves wracked his body. “Blood I can deal with,” the old woman grouched from somewhere in the grey haze filling the room. He heaved
again. “By all the saints!”

“I’ll clean up later. Don’t worry about any of this. Go sit by the fire, Jean. You’ve had a long night.”

Cinaed felt a wet cloth swab the back of his neck and his face.

Jean mumbled something unintelligible about “weak- bellied” and “not to be trusted” and “a misery.” When he hazarded a glance at her, she was glaring at him like some demon guarding the gates of hell.

“Does my nephew know that yer a doctor?” she asked, not taking her eyes off of him as she snatched up the knife and handed it to the younger woman.

A doctor! He lifted his head to look at her again. She was definitely a woman. And a fine-looking one, at that. He was still breathing, and she’d done an excellent job on whatever damage had been done to his chest by the bullet. But the possibility of any trained physician, or even a surgeon, being here in this remote corner of the High- lands was so implausible. Male or female.

“John knows.”

“But ye say yer not a midwife,” Jean persisted, a note of disbelief evident in her tone. “And not just a surgeon, in spite of all them fine, shiny instruments in that bag of yers.”

“I trained as a physician at a university. But I’m find- ing that my abilities as a surgeon have more practical uses wherever I go.”

University trained. Cinaed stole another look at her. She had an air of confidence in the way she spoke and acted that convinced him that she was telling the truth. And for the first time since the Highland Crown struck that reef, he wondered if his good fortune was still hold- ing, if only by thread. Lady Luck, apparently, had sent him Airmid, his own goddess of healing.

Long-forgotten words, chanted over some injury, came back to him from childhood. Bone to bone. Vein to vein. Skin to skin. Blood to blood. Sinew to sinew. Marrow to marrow. Flesh to flesh . . .

From the floor, she retrieved a bowl containing bloody cloths. A musket ball lay nestled like a robin’s egg on the soaked rags. By the devil, he thought, his admiration nearly overflowing. She’d not only stitched him together, she’d dug the bullet out of him.

The deuce! He’d never seen anyone like her. Frankly, he didn’t care if she came from the moon to practice medicine here. He owed his life to her.

You will need a large teapot for this book as you will be up all night long! This is such a wonderful, deeply romantic tale with wit, charm and lots of passion! I loved Isabella's character so much, she is one strong, gutsy heroine that you are just going to be drawn to and root for! If you love a good historical romance, with mystery and magic, then this is the book for you!

Excerpt:

She opened the door and sucked in a breath. “Val.”

Garbed in the immaculately tailored suit of clothing he’d worn to dinner, he grinned, and her entire body heated in response. “You do remember my name.”

“You shouldn’t be here.” That was all she managed to get out before he pushed past her and strode into the room.

He frowned as he surveyed the chamber. “This is very small.”

“You act as though you’ve never been up here.”

“Not never, but not in some time.” He straightened and gave her a decisive nod. “I’ll move you downstairs.”

Closer to him. That was a terrible notion. “No, you won’t.”

He took a step toward her, the frown returning. “A governess isn’t a servant.”

“Nor is she a member of the family.” Footsteps on the stairs filled her with alarm. “You need to go. You can’t be in here.”

He rotated his head, presenting his ear toward the door and took another step forward. “Is someone coming?”

“Yes,” she hissed.

“Then I can’t very well leave. I’d walk right by whomever it is.” He sounded utterly unconcerned.

Isabelle closed the door with a firm click. Then she spun around to glare at him. “Are you trying to get me tossed out?”

“I would never toss you out. And no, I’m not trying to have your employment terminated. Though I will say I never imagined I’d see you as a governess.” His gaze dipped over her as if he were assessing what he had seen her as—and she didn’t want to know.

Too aware of his lingering attention and the fact that she wore only a night rail covered with a rather thin dressing gown, she crossed her arms across her chest and gave him a cool stare. “You need to go.”

“And I shall. Soon. After we…talk.” He looked around the room once more, and his gaze settled on the diminutive chair situated in the corner next to her miniscule nightstand.

“We have nothing to talk about,” Isabelle said.

He moved to the chair and sat down. “Come now, after a decade, there is plenty to discuss. I could sit here with you all night.”

All night. They’d done that once. But they hadn’t been sitting. Or talking. Well, there had been some talking. And some sitting…of sorts. She blushed at the memory.

He gave her a sly look. “What are you thinking about?”

The
past is a dangerous place in this fast-paced time travel novel...

Kathryn
Spears is a skeptical producer for a TV investigative news team. So when her
grandmother claims a Cherokee Indian woman is living on a neighboring farm, she
dismisses it as early Alzheimer's. Because, obviously, there is no farm nearby.
Not in the present anyway. But when she follows Nana's lead, Kathryn is
transported back in time to the year 1840 where she finds a young Cherokee
woman left behind when her family marched west on the Trail of Tears.

Forest
Water is ensnared in a perilous struggle to keep her ancestral lands against a
violent white man who claims the farm, and then claims her as well. Desperate
to help her new friend, Kathryn becomes entangled in a battle between good and
evil with much higher stakes than she imagines.

Each
of these young women falls in love with a man from her own time, but there are
threats, both seen and unseen, that could cost them their lives.

Excerpt

From
Chapter 2

“Are
you Forest Water?” I whispered.

She
nodded, a hint of surprise in her expression.

“Was
that your husband?” I said.

Her
answer was a tired sigh.

“Were
you visited by a white-haired woman a few minutes ago?”

“I
warned Old Grandmother to stay away. You must also.”

“But…”

She
laid the baby on the blanket, got to her feet and pushed a narrow door open at
the back of the hut where I’d first entered. She slipped outside, returning
with a fig in her hand.

“You
must eat this and travel through the doorway,” she said, placing it in my hand.

“I
have so many questions.”

She
locked eyes with me as though trying to look into my soul. Having apparently
come to a decision, she squatted beside the blanket, folding it back to reveal
a layer of pine straw. Scraping the pine straw aside exposed the lid of a large
metal box. She lifted the heavy lid and pulled out a leather pouch. From the
pouch, she withdrew a book, opened it and ripped a handful of blank pages from
the back. She stuffed the loose pages back inside the pouch, returned it to the
box, closed the lid and covered it with the pine straw and blanket. Then she
handed me the book.

“You
must go,” she whispered, eyes blazing.

“But…”

She
gestured for me to put the fig in my mouth as she tugged the shawl from my
shoulders.

I
reluctantly placed the fruit between my teeth and passed through the small
doorway.

Dizziness
overwhelmed me as the buzzing in my ears returned, momentarily blocking out all
other sound. I found myself standing in the clearing, the fig half-chewed in my
mouth. I whirled around to discover the hut no longer existed. My muscles felt
as though I’d run a marathon. Not willing to trust my wobbly legs, I remained
motionless, dazed by what had just happened.

There
were two possibilities – the figs contained some kind of psychedelic substance,
causing me to have the same hallucination Nana had, possibly by virtue of power
of suggestion. Or I had traveled back in time. Which was so freaky that my skin
tingled. In my business, skepticism was ingrained. I wasn’t easily taken in by
a ruse. What I thought had happened could not possibly be the truth.

I
looked all around the clearing for the young woman who called herself Forest
Water. Then, to be sure the shack didn’t still exist, I walked back and forth
over the spot where it had been. There was nothing there.

Then
I remembered the book. It was solid in my hands, the brown leather smooth to
the touch. The book was real. The place was real. And as much as the rational
part of my brain rebelled against the idea, I knew I had somehow visited the
past.

Suddenly
impatient to know the story of the mysterious dark-haired beauty, I made my way
to a large rock on the riverbank. I untied the strap holding the book closed
and opened it with care. So many words, perhaps written with a fountain pen or
a quill, the letters sometimes puddled with excess ink, sometimes as thin as a
strand of hair. The ink was black, the paper a cream color and rough to the
touch. But the words were not in English. I had no idea what language or
alphabet I was looking at. Some of the letters were familiar, but many looked
like Arabic or Greek.

Carefully
flipping the pages, I discovered the entire book was written in this foreign
language. Completely inaccessible to me. I had to talk with Nana.
