Expert:

1. From this day on we will live our lives in gratitude. Every day we will be thankful for all the “assets” in our lives: Our loving family, dear friends, our health, livelihood, skills we are blessed with, hobbies, as well as the spiritual, educational and economic resources we possess.
2. The way we interpret our life reality and the meanings and context we give to the events we experience – all determine our emotions and thoughts, and as a result – the quality of our lives. Starting today, we will adopt a positive outlook as a resolution. Positive thinking about life, about its challenges, difficulties and our ability to deal with them – will promote us and help us be happier, more active and contribute to ourselves, to the community and to our family.

3. From now on, we will live with a sense of fullness. We will enhance "what is" and belittle "what isn't". If you belittle the difficulties – they will become smaller. Don't waste your life on "what there isn't" in it; focus on the "what there is", as there's plenty of it.

4. Try to stay connected to your "lighthouse" (Your own plans and aspirations). In every stage of our life we will make sure we have a "living horizon" of goals, desires and plans yet to be fulfilled. This horizon will urge us towards progression, renewal and creation, and will award us with vitality and joy of life.

5. The price for silencing our inner voice is immensely greater than any social or economic gain we might receive by silencing it. The toll might be harming your physical and mental health to a point of annihilation. Make your authentic inner voice be heard. Your voice is the expression of your presence in this world.

6. We'd better not take ourselves too seriously. We should know how to laugh at ourselves and at our weaknesses, and…also forgive ourselves.

7. As of today, we will connect with kind and sympathetic people. We will surround ourselves with people who are good for us, who praise our successes and share our joy. We will stay away from narrow minded people who drain us from our positive energy -whether consciously or not- making us weak. Good and positive people will draw positive energy into your lives.
8. The power of words: Start seeing words as a means to empower ourselves and others. An energetic force lies within words. Words create reality. Use positive words, also in relation to our ability to handle the challenges in our lives. Replace negative, futile words with positive ones. Positive words will "draw" a positive energy into our lives.

9. Nature is a wonderful place to recharge ourselves energetically. Identify the things that bring you joy and uplift your spirits, and do them often.

10. We, and only us, turn the wheels of our lives. We will let no one "manage" us in life, physically or emotionally (with manipulations, guilt feelings, sense of victimhood or other despicable ways). Always stand on guard, so you will not become anyone's marionette.
11. Let’s live each day with the sense that the entire world's and universe's options are open to us, no matter how old we are. Choose a life of inner strength, and know you have the power to achieve your goals.
12. Let’s set boundaries for ourselves and for others. These boundaries will be set according to our value system, our physical and emotional strengths and according to our needs and sensitivities. These boundaries will enable us to maintain our physical and mental health as well as our strength. They will bring us emotional wellbeing, full control on our life and its quality; and increase our chances for a long and prosperous life.

13. In every situation (except, God forbid, in case of a terminal disease, and even then, one has the option to make a choice on certain issues), a person has the ability to choose to propel their life forward. There is always a way to deal with the challenges standing before us, a way we haven't tried yet.
